Reviewer System

The goal of the peer review process is to ensure the publication of high-quality and original scientific works. All articles to be published in Journal of Optimal Zenith Sports Sciences undergo peer review, and each article follows the peer review process outlined below.

Pre-Assessment

All submissions are first subjected to a preliminary review by the Editor and the Editorial Board. Articles that do not fall within the scope of the journal, or do not comply with the required scientific writing format or have deficiencies in content and structure, may be returned to the author for revisions or rejected before the peer review process begins. At this stage, an article can only be accepted for publication with positive feedback from the reviewers; it will not be published by the editor without this approval.

Peer Review

Journal of Optimal Zenith Sports Sciences employs a double-blind peer review system throughout the entire evaluation process, meaning the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept confidential.

Articles that pass the preliminary review are sent to two reviewers chosen by the editor or the editorial board. Reviewers are selected from the pool based on their areas of expertise.

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodology, contribution to the literature, presentation of findings, support for conclusions, and the use of previous studies. Reviewers may accept, reject, or request revisions in the form or content from the authors. For an article to be published, at least two reviewers must provide positive feedback. If one reviewer rejects the article while another recommends major revisions, a third reviewer will be appointed. If the third reviewer also recommends major revisions, the suggestions from all three reviewers are compiled and sent to the author. The author is then asked to revise the article based on these reports.

If reviewers request corrections, the author(s) must complete the necessary revisions within 30 days and resubmit the manuscript to the Editorial Board. Articles that are not accepted for publication will be returned to the author with the reasons for rejection.

Final Review

Articles approved for publication by the reviewers undergo a final assessment by the Editorial Board. Articles deemed "ready for publication" by the Editorial Board will be scheduled for publication.

Final Decision

Once an article is accepted for publication, it is forwarded to the Chief Editor for final approval. The Chief Editor will make the necessary final revisions with the lead author. The final version of the manuscript will be sent to the lead author by email, and any minor changes requested must be submitted electronically to the Chief Editor within one week. The final decision regarding publication, revision, or rejection rests with the Chief Editor.

Special Issues

The same peer review process is applied to articles in special issues of Journal of Optimal Zenith Sports Sciences, and special issues are not processed separately from the journal's publication policy.

Note: Actions for Authors on the Editorial Board Submitting Articles

  1. Articles submitted by an author on the Editorial Board are evaluated regardless of their position.
  2. The author’s privileges for that issue are suspended, and access to the journal’s interface is restricted.
